A Stile Free Walk through the Market Town of Hawes

Address: Gayle Lane, Hawes Grid ref: SD 8690 8974 w3w:///narrowest.pass.invite

When arriving at Hawes on the A684 from the Leyburn direction (east), the Hawes Yorkshire Dales Park car park is on the right-hand side.

Nearest accessible RADAR toilets are in the Yorkshire Dales National Park Car Park.

There is a changing place facility in the Dales Museum, which is located towards the bottom end of the town.

Follow the road up through Hawes towards the Wensleydale Creamery.

Turn Left up Gayle Lane and head up the hill, past the creamery until you reach the bridle path.

*Please always stay on the pavement.

The bridleway is made up of ancient stone flags that are uneven in places, but perfectly passable for the Minimo Plus scooter. At the church, turn around and retrace your footsteps.

*It is a steep cobbled street down back into town. Please do not attempt to take the Minimo Plus down this road. Therefore, we ask you to turn around and walk back the way you came.
