Bedale Heritage Trail

Bedale is recorded in the Domesday Book (1086). In 1251 the Market Charter was granted. The town probably grew up around the Church, Castle and Hall with the Market Place added to the south. Have we got you hooked? Follow the town heritage trail to learn more about the history of this Yorkshire market town. The wheelchair friendly trail can be downloaded from the Bedale Tourist Information website.
