As we venture through the scenic trails, we are thrilled to unveil our new hub conveniently located at the forest cafe. This presents a unique opportunity for participants to witness first hand the accessibility and natural beauty of Gisburn Forest.
Our event is open to all, free of charge, but we kindly encourage attendees to consider contributing to our charitable cause. Your donations ensure the continued maintenance and availability of our wheelchairs, empowering individuals with mobility challenges to explore the great outdoors.
After the walk, take a moment to enjoy refreshments available for purchase at the cafe, offering a welcome respite amidst the forest's tranquillity. Accessible toilets are conveniently situated within the cafe and at the car park, ensuring comfort and convenience for all visitors.
Please be aware that parking fees apply at the designated car park. However, the experiences awaiting within Gisburn Forest promise to be worth the investment. From the serene forest trails to the camaraderie shared among fellow adventurers, our walk guarantees a memorable and enriching experience for all.
Led by Jonathan Smith, founder of where2walk.co.uk, our walk will be supported by volunteers from our charity, who are eager to chat and share more about our cause.
The walk sets off from the cafe promptly at 10:30 am. It's also a great opportunity to test out some of the all-terrain wheelchairs available in various locations within the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland.
